WHS Band Presented “CHRISTMAS GREETINGS” Concert Monday @ WHS!

The Wellington High School Band, under the direction of Allen Hisken, performed their “Christmas Greetings” concert Monday evening at WHS, with a limited crowd of parents/guardians and a few media folk. Including WHS Yearbook that provided all the STILLS you can access at the link below. Also on hand, Studio 55 cameraman Brad Case – watch for this concert SOON, on Sumner Communications CH 55!

It was a night of musical tradition, leading off with “HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS” by Gene Autry & Oakland Haldman / arranged by Paul Murtha. That followed with “HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS” by Hugh Martin & Ralph Blane. This number, arranged by Philip Gordon.

It was “A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS” moment with Linus & Lucy, O Tannebaum, Skating, and Christmas Time is Here. All arranged by Paul Murtha.

The CROWD SELECTIONS for the evening were, Joy to the World, Silent Night, Deck the Halls, We Three Kings, O Tannebaum, Up on the Housetop, O Come, O Come Immanuel, Away In A Manger, The First Noel, and We Wish You A Merry Christmas.

The finale, JINGLE BELLS, arranged by Andy Clark.

Steve graduated from Wellington High School in 1974 and then Wichita State University (with honors) in 1979 with a B.S. Degree in Administration of Justice; his minor was in Sociology. Steve has held several positions ranging from Juvenile Court Service Officer, to District Manager in Circulation at the Wichita Eagle, Q.A. Planner at Boeing, Caregiver, Psychiatric Technician, Limo Driver, Ranch Hand, Photographer, Webmaster and Website Developer and a die hard Crusader Fan since the early 1960's.
