Senior Leadership – Colin Green Is All About TEAM!

A Crusader tale about senior leadership – do you see the young man in the above pic? That is COLIN GREEN, he’s a SENIOR this coming school year at Wellington High School and plays football. Today, the football team (and others) were slated to run “12” 110 yd Sprints – with only a short break between each.

Colin is a CRUSADER. When it came time to run the 11th sprint, Colin Green, senior leader, made a deal with the coaches – if he could run the 11th and 12th sprint together (220 yds), go down and return in one long sprint, in under 35 seconds, his teammates wouldn’t have to run their 12th and final sprint. Keep in mind, these young men had already run 10 of the sprints in the minutes just preceding. .

GREEN hauled butt and made it back in 32 seconds! The coaches kept it suspenseful, telling him he missed the time by 1 second. He knew he didn’t, and he hadn’t.

Colin Green, is all about TEAM.  My pick for IRONDUKE OF THE DAY!
