Local Postponements & Cancellations

Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB -postponed Ladies Night Out to a later date.  Chamber Coffees scheduled for March 19 & 26 have been cancelled.

Sumner County Family Care Center  -starting today will utilize a “drive-thru” clinic for those with concerning symptoms and only use the North entrance for those patients. Please be sure to call before coming to the clinic if you have had a fever and cough or shortness of air so they can properly prepare and direct you where to go upon arrival.

All Wellington Rec Commission fitness classes are canceled for this week, March 16-20. As of 3/16/20 the Wellington Fitness Center will remain closed thru Sunday 3/22/20.  will also This includes all WRC programs and facility rentals during this time period.  The WRC offices will be closed to the public, but the staff will be available by phone at 620-326-3323.
The Kansas Star Casino will close starting at the end of business on March 17, 2020, until at least March 30, 2020.
 
Cowley College Technical Education EXPO April 18th 9am-3pm has been cancelled.

The Tarnished Tulip is cancelling the dinner scheduled for this Friday night.  The store WILL still be open and celebrating its1st Birthday on Fri 3/20 from 6p-9p and Sat 3/21 10a-4p with specials and giveaways. 

Big Brothers/Big Sisters Annual 4kidsake Campaign has announced that the bowling events planned at Meadow Lanes at 2111 N. A. St. in Wellington for April 4, 2020 at 10 a.m.
has been postponed.

The Wellington Community Theater has postponed their Sock Hop planned for Saturday, March 21.

All scheduled programming for the week at the Wellington Public Library for March 16-23 has been canceled – including Storytime, Pokemon Hunt and Teen after hours, GameKnights, etc

Tiger Eatery at Cowley College Sumner Campus is closed until April 6 due to an extended break.
The Wichita Flea Market at the Kansas Star Casino has been canceled for this month. It was scheduled for March 21-22.
Mission Thrift Shop will be closed this week due to concerns over the virus.
The Panhandle Federal Credit Union’s annual meeting, originally scheduled for March 21, was postponed to a future date.
The Wellington Regent Theater will be closed effective March 17, 2020 until further notice. 
 
Sumner County Historical and Genealogical Center is closed to the public until further notice.
 
Penny’s Diner – closed to dine in customers, but is still open for to go orders.
