Large Crowd @ Wheat Fest’ Picnic in the Park!

The 121st Kansas Wheat Festival got underway in a big way Wednesday evening at Sellers Park. A large crowd was on hand for this year’s celebration. More to come for sure between now and Saturday!

Lots of food on hand, DEVOUR Food Truck, NEIVES Food Truck, BROWN BOX DERBY Cupcake TruckĀ  and others. Lots of activities, the Golf Ball Drop, the Kansas Coin Dig, Kids Cool Crafts, Snow Cones, Horseshoe Tournament, Cookie Jar Auction, Lip Sync Contest, Dancing and more! Earlier in the day, sidewalk chalking at the Regent Theatre! It is just getting started folks!

Steve graduated from Wellington High School in 1974 and then Wichita State University (with honors) in 1979 with a B.S. Degree in Administration of Justice; his minor was in Sociology. Steve has held several positions ranging from Juvenile Court Service Officer, to District Manager in Circulation at the Wichita Eagle, Q.A. Planner at Boeing, Caregiver, Psychiatric Technician, Limo Driver, Ranch Hand, Photographer, Webmaster and Website Developer and a die hard Crusader Fan since the early 1960's.
