Crusader Basketball Teams Win 3 Lose 2 in Season Home Openers Tuesday

Lots of basketball action Tuesday evening at WHS as the Crusaders and Lady Crusaders opened up their respective seasons, here at HOME, vs the Road Runners of Chaparral.

The contest was actually POOL PLAY action, part of the 25th annual Cheney Cardinal Classic being played out this week and culminating at Cheney HS on Saturday. In addition to Cheney, Chaparral and Wellington, other teams in the Classic include Pratt, El Dorado, and Trinity Catholic. Teams will be seeded after Thursday’s POOL PLAY action and play at Cheney HS on Saturday for their respective finishes!

In the “5” games played at WHS Tuesday, the teams in “RED” pulled out “3” victories, one of the “2” losses was by just 1 point.
