Charles S. Taff hails from a small town in Missouri and began his ministry as a youth director in his home church of Steelville, Missouri. Pastor Taff received his bible education through Berean Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and graduated with a Ministerial Studies Diploma. Pastor Taff was Ordained in 1986 through the Southern Missouri District of the Assemblies of God. The former pastorates of the Taffs are; Bond Ridge Assembly of God (1981-85), Higginsville Assembly of God (1985-1994), Ironton Assembly of God (1994-96), The Taffs accepted the pastorate of Wellington's First Assembly of God in 1996. Pastor Taff is married to Vicky and they have 2 children, Michelle and Jordon.The Taffs are excited about the future here in Wellington, Kansas and looking forward to many years of service to the church For more information about Pastor Taff go to His Web Site. Pastor Vicky has been by Pastor Taff's side as his prayer partner, his confidant and his help meet from the beginning of their ministry. Pastor Vicky received her Certified Minister's Credentials through the Assemblies of God and is currently continuing her studies with Global University and Urban Bible Training. Rev. Vicky is the Associate/Youth Pastor of First Assembly of God. Vicky is a singer, songwriter and has recently recorded a CD "The Journey" with 10 original songs. Pastor Vicky is a preacher and a teacher and is used by the Lord with a prophetic ministry operating in the Gifts of the Spirit, specifically, the Word of Knowledge. Our church is proud of all our volunteer labours that love the Lord and love their students. All our workers voluntarily submit to be screened by law enforcement agencies to assure that every child is given a safe environment to experience the true pure love of God.

Sister Phyllis Rogers Is our Sunday School Superintendent. Phyllis has the happy duty supervising loving teachers and a mixture of children as they interact with each other and study the Word of God. She invites you to Join with us every Sunday morning at 9:30 to see for yourself what all the excitement is about..

Brother Rodney Metz Is our Van Coordinator. Rodney states that as he sought the Lord as to where he was needed that the Lord directed him to the van ministry. Rodney sayes " I enjoy picking both the children and the adults who need a ride to church" The Bible Says "You are mine, I have called you by name" Isa. 43:1 Rodney invites anyone to ride the blue and white Assembly of God van to any of our services. Miss Melinda Is our Children's Ministries Coordination. She does our Children's Church Ministries as well as Wednesday night Kiz Klub She has a heart for children and a true gift from God in ministering to them. Miss Melinda also teaches our Kindergarten age Sunday School class

Sister Gladys Holsworth Is our Missionettes & Friends Coordination. She does our Wednesday night and Thursday Night Ministries to Girls and Young Ladies. She has a great passion for the Lord and It shows in the way she ministers. She invites all girls 6 to 11 to Missionettes at 7:00 on Wednesdays and All girls 12- 17 to Friends on Thursday nights at 7:00. Sister Holsworth also teaches our Pre-Teens Sunday School Class

Sister Joyce Burden also works with our Missionettes girls on Wednesday nights She is also one of our very gifted pianists ministering on our worship teams She has an infectious sense of humor and a genuine care for people.

Sister Georgie Gardiner Teaches our Pre- school age children. Sister Gardiner loves her children and shows them acceptance every Sunday. Sister Gardiner also Coordinates our Missions Department and helps on the worship teams

Brother & Sister Covey team Teach our 6 to 8 year old students on Sunday mornings. They love their children and shows reenforce to them Godly character every Sunday.

Brother Royal Holsworth Teaches our Adult Sanctuary Class every Sunday . Brother Holsworth has a true teachers anointing and delivers a bible lesson that is clear, relevant and inspirering. If you thing Sunday School is just for Children think again, Christian education is for all Christians of all ages.

Sister Jessica Ohler is one of our church pianists and one of our Worship Leaders. She also leads worship in the TAG-YA youth group and is one of our faithful team that ministers to the youth of our church. .

Sister Delores Glenn is another of our Worship Leaders. She also is the Church Secretary. She is one of Pastor Taff's "Right Hand Men" So to speak...that is.
