Cross Country @ Hargis Creek - 33 Schools * 525 Runners * 17 WHS/WMS Medal Winners!

Hargis Creek Watershed was a buzz Saturday morning with over 500 runners, representing 33 schools and dozens of spectators as middle school through high school runners competed in races ranging in distance from 1 mile up to 3.1 miles. The weather was PERFECTO for running. Wellington had 17 medalists - their races, their places, their times - all listed below - Good Job Knights and Crusaders!


WHS CRUSADER CLUB Golf Tournament A Fun Success!

10 teams of 4, "scrambled" for prizes and prestige at this year's WHS Crusader Club's Fundraiser Golf Tournament and Steak Feed out at Wellington Golf Club Sunday afternoon. Great weather and great fun by all - Crusader athletes assisted with the event and everyone enjoyed an afternoon of golf, food, Crusader comradery and friendship. We are all lucky that we have each other. Love being a CRUSADER!!

Home Invasion In Wellington; Resident Robbed, Bound and Assaulted

During the early morning hours of Friday, September 12, 2014, Wellington Police Officers were called to a home in the 600 block of South H regarding a report home invasion.

A 26 year old Wellington man reported to police that several unknown subjects, possibly 3, entered his home, assaulted him, tied his hands and feet together and stole various electronic items and his wallet.

The WHS Varsity Football squad improved their season record to 2-0 Friday evening, easily winning over now (0-2) 5A opponent Goddard Eisenhower at the relatively new Goddard HS Field  - a field that has been very good to Wellington - 3 games played there in our school history - 3 victories for the Crusaders (2001 State Championship Game vs Ft. Scott / 2013 vs Goddard HS / 2014 vs Goddard Eisenhower HS).

The Wellington  High School Varsity Girls Tennis squad continues to find success this young season. In a field of "8" teams on Thursday at Circle HS, our Lady Crusaders finished in FIRST PLACE as a team - check out the results:
