Home Invasion In Wellington; Resident Robbed, Bound and Assaulted

During the early morning hours of Friday, September 12, 2014, Wellington Police Officers were called to a home in the 600 block of South H regarding a report home invasion.

A 26 year old Wellington man reported to police that several unknown subjects, possibly 3, entered his home, assaulted him, tied his hands and feet together and stole various electronic items and his wallet.

The WHS Varsity Football squad improved their season record to 2-0 Friday evening, easily winning over now (0-2) 5A opponent Goddard Eisenhower at the relatively new Goddard HS Field  - a field that has been very good to Wellington - 3 games played there in our school history - 3 victories for the Crusaders (2001 State Championship Game vs Ft. Scott / 2013 vs Goddard HS / 2014 vs Goddard Eisenhower HS).

Wellington Has "4" Medalists @ Valley Center Tuesday

The WMS and WHS Cross Country Squads, coached by Charles Wallace and Mitch Day, had their 2014 debut Tuesday @ Valley Center. "2" Crusaders and "2" Knights brought home some hardware - here's the overall WELLINGTON results from the Valley Center action:

Wellington Police Department to hold Prescription Drug Take Back Day

On Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Wellington Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its ninth opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
