Elvis Tribute Artist Appearing In Wellington Saturday, May 10

Elvis will be in "in the building" this Saturday, May 10th!   It is termed a "Concert For A Cause" with proceeds going to SafeHomes.   Elvis Tribute Artist, Marshall Matthews and The Memphis Kings will perform at the Memorial Auditorium, 208 N. Washington, in Wellington. The group will feature Music Director and Lead Trumpet Roger Lewis from The Flippers.   The concert gets underway at 7:00 p.m.

Crusader Way Car Wash Raises Nearly $400 For Humane Society!

Ms. Katie Ford's Crusader Way class at WHS held a car wash and bake sale on Saturday in downtown Wellington at Federal Tire. The fundraiser event was for the new Humane Society Building soon to be constructed north of town on Highway 81, just SE of the Farmer's COOP Elevator. In an effort to give back to their community, the young Crusaders brought in nearly $400.00 for their efforts and appeared to have some fun to boot!

The WHS Track Team hosted their "WELLINGTON INVITATIONAL" Friday vs several area teams including Caldwell, Belle Plaine, South Haven, Mulvane, Rose Hill, Conway Springs and Circle. It was a great day for CRUSADER TRACK - several top place finishes and WHS Junior Colin Reichenberger set "2" NEW WHS HURDLE RECORDS, in the 110M and 300M.

WHS Senior Micah Rogers Signs To Play Volleyball @ Labette

WHS Senior Micah Rogers signed to play Volleyball for Labette County Community College Thursday morning out at WHS. Present with Micah for the signing were Micah's parents Brian & Krista Pottier and also Micah's WHS Head Volleyball Coach Cherity Elder. Micah's scholarship with Labette includes tuition and books.CONGRATULATIONS MICAH ROGERS!!
