WHS GRADUATE RECEIVES NATIONAL HONORS!

KAILEY JENKINS NAMED COSIDA 
FIRST TEAM ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN

AUSTIN, Texas - Kailey Jenkins (SR/Wellington, Kan.) has wrapped up her Friends University Softball career with a national honor. Jenkins was named a First Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America (COSIDA) as announced by the organization on Monday.
Jenkins is one of four players on the First Team with a 4.00 grade point average, majoring in Elementary Education. On the diamond, she batted .366 (48-131) with 62 total bases, 36 runs batted in and 16 runs scored as Friends went 33-13 overall and 16-6 in KCAC play. Jenkins added in 14 doubles, which led the Falcons.
Friends gets an honoree for a second straight year, with pitcher Logan Davis drawing Second Team accolades in 2016.
